The Toronto Maple Leafs announced another cut from their training camp in the last few minutes
Leafs Send Defenseman to OHL Team
The Leafs have officially cut the defenseman Spencer Sova from their training camp.
He will report to the Erie Otters in the OHL.
Here's the official announcement:
"The @MapleLeafs have returned D Spencer Sova to the Erie Otters (OHL)
Sova, 19, is undrafted. He played the last three years in the OHL and he score 42 points in 132 games.
He was invited by the Maple Leafs to the development camp, and after great performances, he was invited to the training camp.
Many people thought the Leafs would offer him an entry-level contract, but it seems he didn't impress Brad Treliving and the organization enough.
However, it doesn't mean that we'll never see him again in Toronto.
