The Toronto Maple Leafs have been firing offensively to begin the season, tallying 14 goals in three games, and now, we're finally getting the long awaited promotion of Matthew Knies up their lineup.
The future is here
According to a report, Knies is now looking to join what could potentially become one of the best lines in all of hockey.
The 21-year old will bring his dynamic play to pair with captain John Tavares and William Nylander, who have been off to a great start in 2023-24 already, and if they can continue this play alongside their top line, this team may ultimately end up being unstoppable.
In six regular season appearances, Knies has just one assist, but given how their top lines have been rolling this season, if he settles in alongside these two, this will be a fun group to watch and a dangerous one for opposing teams.
