The Toronto Maple Leafs lost a hard fought game against Tampa Bay this evening, setting the series to 3-2 in Toronto's favor. What may have been more interesting, however, was a statistic shared by Sportsnet during the game.
Sportsnet Reveals Leafs Worst Defenseman
During the Leafs game tonight, the Sportsnet Stats Twitter account tweeted out a statistic regarding the Toronto Maple Leafs goals against share. What they revealed was that defenseman Justin Holl has been on the ice for 72.2% of the Maple Leafs goals against during this series against Tampa Bay.
This statistic is extremely concerning for Leafs fans, who have been calling for Holl's demotion for quite some time now. Tonight alone, Holl managed to find himself with a plus/minus rating of -3.
Fans didn't shy away from showing their frustrations with the team, and took to social media to voice their concerns.
Hopefully for Toronto's sake, Sheldon Keefe wises up and replaces Holl in the lineup.
