Leafs Make a Decision on Ilya Samsonov With Their Latest Roster Move
The Toronto Maple Leafs have made an important call-up, sealing Ilya Samsonov's fate.
Leafs to Rest Samsonov
Kyle Dubas said last week that Ilya Samsonov was a little banged up.
With the call-up of Joseph Woll this morning, it appears the Leafs have made a decision to let Samsonov rest.
Matt Murray will start tonight, but Woll will back-up, giving Samsonov a guaranteed rest night.
These types of moves give confidence as it shows the Leafs are committed to having a fully healthy roster for the playoffs.
With Samsonov being so hot, it looks more and more that he'll be the starter come Game 1.
