Maple Leafs Make Roster Move Days Before the Playoffs
With the playoffs looming, and with the stakes never being higher, Kyle Dubas is trying to construct the perfect roster.
Leafs Call Up Simmonds
The Leafs announced today that they would be sending Joseph Woll down the Marlies of the AHL, and calling up Wayne Simmonds.
This could be for two reasons:
The Leafs play their final home game of the season tomorrow, and it could very well be the organization giving Simmonds one last hurrah before he retires.
The other could be that the Leafs want to add some toughness against the Lightning, as they did in previous years.
Either way, the Marlies get a big boost in the star goalie Woll. They are poised to make a deep run, and a Calder Cup could very well be in their midst.
Always have to wonder what Kyle Dubas is cooking!
