Matthew Knies Makes the Save of the Playoffs
The playoffs are truly a team effort. Clearly Matthew Knies caught the memo, as he brilliantly helped out Ilya Samsonov in net.
Knies Makes Incredible Save
With the game in reach, trailing 2-1 to the Lightning at the time, Anthony Cirelli managed to get a puck rolling right past Ilya Samsonov.
With the puck flat on the red line, Knies swooped in and kept it out of the net.
A fraction of a second later, the Leafs would have been down 3-1!
Steven Stamkos scored later in the period to maintain the lead for the Lightning, however.
Great stuff from the kid!
