Paul Maurice Calls Out the Referees After Game 1 Victory
Last night's game between Florida and Toronto was a fun one to watch. Players played intensely and they didn't hold back on the hits. More than 80 were distributed between the two teams.
Even if the teams played with the same level of aggressivity, Florida got five penalties, and the Leafs got only one.
Paul Maurice addressed this issue in his post-game press conference.
Paul Maurice Calls Out the Referees After Game 1 Victory
He had already noticed it during the game and didn't hesitate to let the refs know that he wasn't happy.
He continued after the game.
"We have just accepted the fact that we're going to be in the penalty box more than the opponent. Tell Sergei to get lots of sleep."
Using the medias to call out refs about unfair treatment works sometimes. We'll see in game two if the situation changes.
