Rasmus Sandin was traded from the Leafs near the end of the season last year to the Washington Capitals. The Swede had some close connections with other Swedes on the Leafs, including the red-hot William Nylander.
Nylander and Sandin lived together for almost the entirety of Sandin's tenure with the Leafs, something that Sandin thinks gives him some inside knowledge on how to get under Nylander's skin.
Nylander, on the other hand, played it off with a level of cool you might expect.
Sandin felt a bit nostalgic looking back on his time with Toronto prior to tomorrow night's game. He has fond memories of Toronto and his close-knit group there and recalled the moment when he and Nylander walked out of practice on his last day in Toronto.
Sandin is off to a slow start this year with the Capitals and will look to record his first point of the season against his former team on Saturday.
