We finally have a Mitch Marner mock trade that makes sense to report.

Since the Toronto Maple Leafs were eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs in the first round by the Florida Panthers, there's been a lyriad of speculation and rumours surrounding many star players.
John Tavares, Morgan Rielly and Mitch Marner were involved in massive trade rumors, and it looks like any of them could be leaving the team in the coming months.
Now, let's focus on Mitch Marner. As he enters the last year of his contract, many teams across the NHL should be interested in acquiring him. Despite some struggles in the playoffs, he still has a high value and could bring a significant return to the Leafs.
One of the teams that could be interested is the Carolina Hurricanes. They have a lot of free agents to deal with, and if they can get a return for at least one of those who'll walk away from the team, they should do it.
Our colleagues over at Maple Leafs Daily shared the following proposition, and it makes sense. Check it out:
"Hurricanes trade:

Martin Necas (with an extension), 2024 1st round pick, 2025 2nd round pick and a prospect.

Leafs trade:

Mitch Marner (with an extension)"

Considering that the Leafs are looking to bolter their blue line, targeting Martin Necas would make a lot of sense. Adding a few draft picks wouldn't hurt, as both Kyle Dubas and Brad Treliving liquidated many picks in the past trade deadlines.
As for Marner, he'd bring considerable depth to the Canes' forward group.
Do you think Mitch Marner will be traded to the Carolina Hurricanes this summer?
