Auston Matthews has exited tonight's game.

Auston Matthews is NOT on the Leafs bench to begin the third period. ❌

Matthews has not returned for the third

Matthews appeared to be in some discomfort after Boston's third goal. He had a conversation with Maple Leafs athletic therapist Paul Ayotte when he got to the bench.

Matthews and the Leafs have been held scoreless thus far and will be in need of an offensive jolt if they want to tie the series up tonight.

The Leafs also made a change in net by bringing Joseph Woll in for Ilya Samsonov.

Looks like Woll in the third for Toronto

Head Coach Sheldon Keefe is doing everything in his power to get the Leafs going but without his MVP candidate and Rocket Richard winner, it will be difficult to get anything going.

The Leafs will need to rely on Mitch Marner, William Nylander, and John Tavares for the rest of the evening and hope that Joseph Woll can hold the Bruins scoreless for the final frame and potentially longer.

What is going on in Toronto?
