Auston Matthews joins the list with some of the best players in the NHL including Cale Maker, Jack Hughes, and Dylan Larkin.
Nominees for the 2024 King Clancy Memorial Trophy, as announced by the NHL, given to the player «who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community.»
The award is set to be given out after the season. While individual awards are not the focus for Auston Matthews and the Maple Leafs this is a great honor for him and the organization to be mentioned.
