There is some tension between the Toronto Maple Leafs and everyone in their division, and that includes the Florida Panthers. The Leafs have always had to prove that they won't be pushed around come the post-season, however, this year feels like that will actually come true. You can see how the Leafs are standing up for themselves up and down the lineup, with guys like Tyler Bertuzzi and Max Domi not afraid to get in to scrums and mix it up.
During last night's game against the Florida Panthers, the Leafs did just that. Tyler Bertuzzi and Matthew Tkachuk were getting into it, and Bertuzzi double-clutched when considering throwing a punch at Tkachuk, to which he flinched. Take a look.
While it doesn't look like much, Leaf fans should be fired up for plays like this, as they have been on the other end historically. Having guys like Tyler Bertuzzi in their lineup will go a long way when they play the Bruins in the playoffs, as they will be quick to step up for their stars in Auston Matthews should things get out of hand.
It is an exciting time to be a Leaf fan, and their new look this season is inspiring a new hope for post-season success.
