The Toronto Maple Leafs placed goaltender Ilya Samsonov on waivers yesterday and we now know if he was claimed or not.

Goaltender Ilya Samsonov has been struggling all season with the Maple Leafs. He has a 5-2-6 record, .862 sv%, and a 3.94 GAA through 15 games played. Yesterday, the Toronto Maple Leafs shocked everybody by placing Samsonov on waivers.

This exposed Samsonov to every single team to pick up for free and we now know if he was claimed by anybody.
Ilya Samsonov (TOR) clears waivers and can now be assigned to the AHL Marlies.
With Samsonov clearing, the Maple Leafs will now enact a plan that will have Samsonov try to regain his confidence. Insider Kevin Weekes revealed the plan.
