Breaking: Maple Leafs Reveal When Ilya Lyubushkin Will Make His Season Debut
In breaking news, the Toronto Maple Leafs have just revealed when Ilya Lyubushkin will make his season debut for the squad.
Sheldon Keefe Reveals The Leafs' Plan to Have Lybushkin Play Tonight
After the trade that landed the Toronto Maple Leafs' Ilya Lyubushkin, there were immediate questions as to when Lyubushkin would be able to play his first game, especially since the Leafs are struggling to stay healthy on the blueline. Now, Sheldon Keefe has revealed that the plan is to have Lyubushkin play tonight.
Sheldon Keefe says Calle Jarnkrok says is a «possibility» for tomorrow and will have to see how he got through today's practice.
Timothy Liljegren is possible as well but the fact that he didn't practice today puts it in question.
The hope for tomorrow is that Ilya Lyubushkin can play provided he gets here fine and there are no visa issues. With Timothy Liljegren questionable, and Mark Giordano out with a head injury, there was clearly a desperate need to bring in Lyubushkin as a reinforcement on the Leafs' blueline. While the trade itself has been criticized on social media, the Leafs still have room to make more deals.
We will see how Lyubushkin's first game goes if he is in the lineup tonight.
