Noah Gregor laid an awkward hit last night on Blackhawks Defenseman Nikita Zaitsev, catching Zaitsev in the head as he was falling against the boards.
The hit looked unintentional and went unpenalized during the game.
Despite the accident, Gregor still answered for the hit in the following play, taking on Blackhawks player Connor Murphy in a fight.
Normally, the NHL's department of player safety will announce a hearing for the player 12-16 hours after a hit occurs to determine if there will be a suspension.
This has not occurred for Noah Gregor, and it is appearing safe to say that he will not be punished for the hit.
