Elliotte Friedman Reveals The Leafs Should Go After Colton Parayko at the Deadlone
The Toronto Maple Leafs are starting to get hot at the right time, and with the trade deadline coming up, there could be an opportunity to add important pieces to the Leafs' roster in order to make a push in the post-season. With all eyes on the Leafs' blueline, there is a lot of speculation on whether they will add someone.
Now, insider Elliotte Friedman has revealed that the Leafs should go for Blues defenseman Colton Parayko.
Parayko A Safe Addition for Leafs Who Will be in Tricky Spot Come Deadline Day
The Leafs are in a difficult position this season with upcoming cap space being limited, and not being sure about whether or not they should go all in this year. However, adding Parayko could solve a lot of issues without some of the downsides. With his long-term contract, there is some certainty that they have in adding him at the deadline, whereas other options the Leafs are looking at have the potential risk of leaving after the season ends if an extension isn't in place.
We will see what the Leafs look to do as the deadline approaches, or if they feel like they are on track to make a push as-is.
