Tyler Bertuzzi has been one of the biggest disappointment this season in Toronto. In 52 games, his seven goals and 15 assists input hasn't been reaching the expectations placed upon him.
With the Maple Leafs looking to get past the second round of the playoffs for the first time since 2002, Bertuzzi is definitely a player to follow in the trade rumors coming out of Toronto.
Per Steve Simmons:
Of course, for Treliving to move Bertuzzi, the return will need to be great for Toronto. As the Leafs look to bolster their blue line as well as their bottom-six, many scenarios are possible.
Obviously, the Calgary Flames could be ideal trade partners for the Leafs. With three interesting defensemen reportedly on the trade block (Rasmus Andersson, Noah Hanifin and Chris Tanev), there's plenty of candidates for Treliving to pick from his old team.
Another candidate emerged from the Anaheim Ducks: centerman Adam Henrique.
Henrique would be an interesting acquisition for the Leafs. His experience and talent could be a great help for the team's playoff run.
If Treliving goes after either of these players, don't be urprised if Bertuzzi departs the team alongside a package of picks, players and prospects.
