Maple Leafs Game nearly cancelled last-minute due to security concerns
The Toronto Maple Leafs got a surprise tonight as an alarm nearly had their game cancelled. Luckily, the issue was resolved before puck drop.
The Toronto Maple Leafs were playing the Winnipeg Jets tonight when the fire alarm suddenly went off in the middle of the first period. Fans found humor in the event as they used the alarm to joke about how the Leafs had played up to that point.
Well whatever set off that fire alarm certainly wasn't the Leafs that period, frigid start.
David Pagnotta updated fans on X later, noting that the building had received an all-clear. The alarm did not seem to interrupt the game more than a couple of moments.
If you're watching the game and hearing some announcement well, all clear 👍🏼
Apparently, the alarm could even be heard by fans watching the game on TV.
The Leafs and Jets are currently tied 0-0 late in the second period.
