Max Domi shares heartfelt message to Leafs fans after major win

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi came to town this summer looking to help his childhood team win a Stanley Cup. After a huge game and just before the playoffs he has a message for the Maple Leafs fans.

Forward Max Domi is a legacy Maple Leaf following in the footsteps of his dad Tie Domi. He was brought in much like his father to bring a physical edge to the lineup and a scoring touch. To this point in his Maple Leafs career, he has delivered in a major way.

Last night the Toronto Maple Leafs invaded Buffalo for a game against the Sabres. In a game that went the Maple Leafs way, the crowd was overwhelmingly filled with Toronto fans. It was a special night for those in attendance as they saw Auston Matthews score his 60th goal of the season.

After the game, Max Domi took to X to show his gratitude for the fans who showed up and of course gave a shoutout to Auston Matthews for his incredible accomplishment.

Leaf nation was BUZZING tonight! What an atmosphere. What a night for 34! Huge w. Best crowd of the year!

Of course, Auston Matthews deserves credit for his incredible success this season but Max Domi himself deserves some credit for helping the superstar get to this incredible feat.

Max Domi quietly becoming the best playmaker on the Maple Leafs

Max Domi has exceeded the offensive expectations of many Maple Leafs fans this season. With just 9 games left in the season, he is on pace to pass his career-high in assists if he keeps up his current pace. His playmaking this season has made him one of the most valuable players in the lineup.

It is not often that players are mentioned in the same sentence as Connor McDavid. This season Max Domi is one of those as he is near the top of the league in 5v5 assists per 60 minutes just behind Connor McDavid.

As the season comes to a close Max Domi will need to be at the top of his game if he truly wants to help bring the city of Toronto the elusive Stanley Cup. His love for the organization and Leafs Nation is strong let's see if he can turn that into success on the ice when it matters most.
