The Vancouver Canucks have hit the jackpot with their trade deadline acquisition, and it's not Elias Lindholm. It's the big rig, Nikita Zadorov who has been a crucial piece to their underdog run.

Nikita Zadorov has took the ball and ran with it during his tenure with the Canucks after only costing them a 3rd round pick to pay the Calgary Flames.

According to many rumours, the pending UFA will be getting payed during the off-season, whether he re-signs with the Canucks or tests the market, the big Z will be a rich man.

(insert Toronto Maple Leafs)..

The Leafs interest for Zadorov has been known, with them chasing him back when he was in Calgary before he eventually got traded to the Canucks. It's obvious Brad Treliving wanted a big body and missed out on Zadorov so he went to go acquire the closest comparable, Joel Edmundson.

The connection is there, with former GM of the Flames Brad Treliving being the GM of Toronto now and his former player being the russian monster.
