It was announced today that Matthew Rempe would not have a hearing with NHL DOPS after being ejected from last nights game vs the New Jersey Devils for his brutal hit on forward Nathan Bastian. The 6,8 forward got kicked out 10 seconds into his shift! In his NHL debut he did the same , in his first shift he dropped the gloves with Matt Martin in an awesome tilt between both enforcers!

Rempe to not have a hearing

Rempe was told that he would not have a hearing for his dangerous hit. Many fans across the league argued that because of his height, a hit like that was clean and inevitable.

Leafs fans questioning NHL's Call

Toronto fans are probably furious with this decision after they saw their defenseman get five games for a cross check on Ridly Greig!

We'd wonder if Matthew Rempe was a few inches shorter, if a hearing would've been presented to him! He may have gotten away with it thanks to his absurdity of a height.

Rempe is definitely starting to make a name for himself as a future enforcer with his short stinct so far, already making the headlines for his hits and fights!
