The Leafs played the Devils last night, during the warmup Leafs fans were given quite the scare when Ilya Samsonov seemed injured after taking a shot to the leg from William Nylander
Samsonov Still Puts Up a Great Performance
Ilya Samsonov ended up playing a great game, especially during the first period when the Devils dominated the puck and outshot the Leafs 15-5.
Ilya Samsonov was asked about the warmup incident. He explained that William Nylander's shot hit him in the balls and that he just needed to catch his breath and was fine to play the rest of the game.
Despite how painful that must have been, it did not stop William Nylander from making a few amazing saves early in the game, which helped the Leafs in their 4-3 victory against the Devils.
Ilya Samsonov has until Monday to recover from this scare!
