The Maple Leafs' head coach Sheldon Keefe revealed major details about Max Domi's nagging injury in a recent interview.

Domi got injured last week but still played on Saturday:

"Max Domi on the ice at Leafs optional skate

Missed practice yesterday and is considered day to day with an undisclosed injury "

"I wouldn't say flare up, it was just more so he's been dealing with something that's been going on for a while and he felt it's not going to affect him to play. And I don't think that was necessarily the case. So not any worse or anything, it's just now about managing it."

In addition of Domi, Bobby McMann was also out, leaving the Leafs to only 12 healthy forward on the roster. Sheldon Keefe won't have a lot of flexibility going into the playoffs.

Leafs' forward Ryan Reaves talked about the reality of the playoffs and the importance of remaining healthy:

"You're going to need 16 forwards, 10D, whatever it is. You hope not to, you hope to stay healthy, but that's just not the reality of playoffs. And so everybody's got to stay ready, everybody's got to stay positive whether you're in or out of the lineup, and you just got to make sure everybody can contribute when they have to."
