BREAKING: Canadian powerhouse looking to sign Phil Kessel
In other news today, a pending UFA may be off the boards in the next few days as a Canadian contender looks to add him to their already powerful offensive fold.
Canucks looking to sign Stanley Cup Winner
The Vancouver Canucks have reported shown immense interest in adding 3 time Stanley Cup Champion, Phil Kessel. Kessel has yet to sign with an NHL team this season despite putting his name out there and training for all this time. The former Golden Knight has until March 8 to sign with an NHL team to be eligible for the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The Canucks forward core would benefit greatly from a guy with the pedigree of Phil Kessel. The leadership, goal scoring and experience he provides for this young Canucks core would be an amazing add from GM Alvin.
We'd suppose the most Kessel would want in a deal would be 1M x1 year, and if that's the case the Canucks shouldn't even hesitate and pull the trigger on it.
