The Vancouver Canucks showed interest in 27-year old Daniel Sprong this summer, and now they've made the signing official.

The Canucks had a breakout season in 2023/24, but after losing some offensive firepower this off-season, they've now looked to address that by signing former Detroit Red Wings forward Daniel Sprong.

The signing will likely make Sprong a bottom-six forward with a team that has high aspirations for the 2024/25 season, with the 27-year old winger having his two best career years leading into this season. With 43 points in 75 games played, he likely won't be a star for this team, but given the offensive output we saw from many players in Vancouver, this is a great landing spot.

With the addition of Jake DeBrusk and several departures, this will likely be the end of the Canucks moves up front this off-season as they look to go a few steps further than last years second round exit to the Edmonton Oilers.
