BREAKING: Shea Weber Has Been Traded
Per Kevin Weekes, former Montreal Canadiens captain and future hall-of-famer Shea Weber has been traded from the Vegas Golden Knights. He will be headed to the Arizona Coyotes along with a 5th round pick for depth defenseman Dysin Mayo.
Golden Knights and Coyotes Make a Trade
Weber isn't owed very much actual money on the duration of his deal, so it is great for the Arizona Coyotes, who can use his cap hit to hit the minimum.
Weber is almost assuredly never going to play again, but the Golden Knights were still able to capitalize on his value as a cap piece.
Impressive work by Kelly McCrimmon, who acquired Mayo for nearly nothing.
