Sheldon Keefe's Post-Game Comments on John Tavares Confuses Leafs Fans
Sheldon Keefe is a controversial head coach. He said yesterday that he intended to keep captain John Tavares on newly acquired Ryan O'Reilly's wing.
This proved to be a good decision, as the Leafs truly dominated last night, with a hattrick performance by the aforementioned Ryan O'Reilly.
Thus, it was shocking when Keefe pulled a full 180 in the post-game interview:
Keefe Confuses Leafs Fans
While it seemed very clear that Keefe intended to keep Tavares on the wing, he flipped the script post-game, saying he intends for John Tavares to play at center again long-term.
I still feel at the end of the day we're going to have John back at centre.
It definitely seems that Sheldon Keefe has to make up his mind. While John Tavares is a great center, that line was magical last night. Why fix something that isn't broken?
We'll have to wait and see what Keefe decides next.
