The Las Vegas Golden Knights are returning to the playoffs after missing them for the first time since joining the NHL last season. On Tuesday, they will begin their playoff series against the Winnipeg Jets.
Many have been wondering about the status of goaltender Logan Thompson heading into the playoffs. Thompson injured himself on February 9th but returned on March 24th. However, he re-injured himself against the Calgary Flames and has been out since with a lower body injury.
The Golden Knights would reveal:
Thompson hasn't skated yet but could return as backup in this series
Thankfully for the Golden Knights they acquired Jonathan Quick after he refused to show up to the Columbus Blue Jackets after being traded by the Los Angeles Kings.
Thompson has been outstanding before his injury alongside Quick going 21-13-3 with a 2.65 goals against average, and .915 save percentage.
