The Boston Bruins have high expectations coming into this year's playoffs. They won the Presidents' Trophy and had the best season in NHL history. Nothing seemed to stand in their way of the Stanley Cup, until today.
Virus Within the Boston Bruins: Several Players Sick
Jim Montgomery gave an update, and it's what fans are afraid of when entering the playoffs.
"An illness is going around," says Jim Montgomery. "Several players are sick."
No details have come out yet, but if players are to miss tonight's game, we should hear more about it soon.
The matchup against the Florida Panthers starts tonight in Boston.
If many players are affected, we can only hope for a swift recovery.
