Breaking: Major Injury Update for the Tampa Bay Lightning
Even though they ended up winning, the Tampa Bay Lightning suffered a major blow in game one.
Top defenseman Erik Cernak had to leave the game after a dangerous collision with Michael Bunting.
Cernak hasn't been back on the ice since, and Bunting has one game remaining in his three game suspension.
The Lightning just made a major announcement concerning Cernak's health.
Injury Forces Cernak to Miss Game 4 Against Toronto
This isn't good news for the Bolts, as they haven't won a game since Cernak left.
However, Jon Cooper mentioned that he is day-to-day, meaning that he isn't ruled out of the playoffs yet. We could see Cernak back in action against Toronto if he heals quickly, or in the next round if the Bolts win the series.
