Kyle Dubas and the Toronto Maple Leafs just received some good news. They are about to get some welcomed reinforcement.

Matt Murray has been out of action since mid-January due to an ankle injury that he worsened during warm-up before a game against his former team, the Ottawa Senators. Murray has been on a long road to recovery, with his first team practice in over a month taking place just yesterday.

Murray explained that the injury had been bothering him for a while, but it became more severe after he tweaked it. He eventually felt that continuing to play would only harm the team. Despite this, Murray now feels good and is ready to return when cleared by the medical and coaching staff.

Head coach Sheldon Keefe seems to be on the same page as Murray. Here's what he had to say about the plan for his number one goalie:

"Just continue to get him out there & put him in different situations. He's feeling good. It is just a matter of ensuring things don't flare up or get worse or anything like that. Now, we are just looking to increase his workload."

Keef also revealed that he could make his comeback as early as Wednesday against the Edmonton Oilers.
