BREAKING: The Worst is Confirmed for the Golden Knights and Mark Stone
The Vegas Golden Knights have done well this season as they look to win back-to-back championships. However, they will be without one of their best players for some time now.
Golden Knights Captain To Miss Significant Time With Injury
The Vegas Golden Knights lost 5-3 last night against the Nashville Predators. Making matters worse is the fact that Mark Stone left the game early and did not return.
Today, Golden Knights general manager Kelly McCrimmon revealed in a press conference that captain Mark Stone will be 'out for awhile' after he sustained an injury last night.
#VegasBorn GM Kelly McCrimmon said today that Mark Stone will be «out for awhile» following an injury sustained last night against #Preds.
Stone has a serious injury history but he always seems to be good to go in time for the playoffs. In the meantime, this injury could buy the team extra cap space as they look to add at the trade deadline. It is not clear exactly how long Stone will be out, but he could go on LTIR, clearing cap space for his team. Of course, they will have to make space again to bring him back should he return prior to the end of the regular season.
