According to Elliotte Friedman, the Vancouver Canucks could lose their superstar Thatcher Demko for the rest of the series against the Predators to an injury.

After a convincing performance in game one that helped the Canucks win 4-2, it looks like Thatcher Demko could miss the rest of round one.

"Hearing Thatcher Demko injured and questionable for rest of series"

Demko missed the team's morning skate earlier today, after skipping practice to get treatment yesterday.

Casey DeSmith should get the nod to guard the Canucks' net for game two, with Arturs Silovs as backup, tonight, in Vancouver.

In 29 starts this season, DeSmith had a 12-9-6 record, a 2.85 GAA and a 0.896 SV%.

This could open the door wide open for the Predators, but the Canucks are still considered by many to be the favourite to win the round.

Demko has been one of the best goalie in the NHL this season, and his injury could truly hurt the team's chances of having a deep playoff run.

Details and updates regarding Demko's health should be provided soon by the organization. Make sure to stay tuned.
