Cole Caufield's contract is starting to take shape slowly, with the signings of Matt Boldy and Dylan Cozens.
Many experts agree that he could earn between $7 and $9 million per year on a long-term deal of seven or eight years.
Except Shayna Goldman, a columnist and advanced stats expert for The Athletic.
"A short-term deal would probably keep the contract value around $2 million to $3 million.
A longer-term deal, however, could push it closer to $5 million."
- Shayna Goldman
Yesterday, Dylan Cozens signed a seven-year contract at $7.1M per year, and let's just say that's a better comparable...
Remember that Caufield has scored 48 goals in 83 games.
