A Team Leaves Their Player To Get Hit After He Throws a Nasty Check on the Opposing Goaltender
There are certain unspoken rules in hockey. For starters, goaltenders are generally off-limits when it comes to hits. When a goalie is injured, it can sewer a team for weeks - and players are generally cognizant of such.
In this particular situation, however, a player decided to throw a nasty hit on a goaltender. In response, even his own team agreed that he deserved some punishment.
The Instagram account Buttendz' explained the story:
Great game last last night in Provo. @buttendz x @provopreds Military Appreciation Night Jerseys were er so sick. Great spending time with the Preds during the week. Also, got to kick it with the Spud Kings and my former coach Marty Quarters at the game. Big shout out to the tendy @jeffdreger20 who played great and stayed in the game after this hit.
Luckily, the goaltender was uninjured by the hit. Hopefully the player has learned his lesson now.
