On Thursday, the Canadiens' players could enjoy their first of two days off granted by head coach Dominique Ducharme before starting preparation for the first round of the playoffs. Some players on the team were able, according to the age standards imposed by the government, to get vaccinated. This was the case, among others, of Shea Weber and Tyler Toffoli.
The photos taken by the Canadiens' organization, which appear to have been subsequently removed from their social networks, show very well the state of Captain Weber's injury. He appears to have definitively injured his hand while wearing a prosthesis.
So that explains why the latter shot with one hand at the net during training last Wednesday...
It will be interesting to see if the captain will be able to take advantage of his week off and if he can start the first game of the series against the Leafs on May 20.
