Since the beginning of the season, the Montreal Canadiens' surplus of forwards has certainly been the main topic of discussion on the second floor.
Kent Hughes is looking to get rid of veterans such as Mike Hoffman, Jonathan Drouin and Evgenii Dadonov.
According to Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette, three Senators scouts, including GM Pierre Dorion, are attending tonight's game. Dorion was also there for the CH's last visit to Winnipeg.
Dorion is definitely up to something and may decide to dance with Hughes in the next few days.
A Mike Hoffman versus Nikita Zaitsev kind of thing, would you do it? Same salary, different positions. Both are also under contract until 2023-2024.
