As reported by my colleague William Nadeau of HabsAndNHL, and according to information from Bleacher Report's Lyle Richardson, the New Jersey Devils, Los Angeles Kings, Winnipeg Jets, Nashville Predators and New York Islanders would be interested in adding Jonathan Drouin to their roster.

On the Los Angeles side, Marco D'Amico of Montreal Hockey Now has even proposed a trade.

« On October 21, Marco D'Amico reported that Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes was active in the market to bolster his blue line (right side) depth. D'Amico speculated that the two clubs could be trade partners. [...]

He suggested a trade where the Canadiens send a forward to the Kings in exchange for a veteran defenseman like Sean Walker, who makes $2.65 million through 2023-2024.

Hughes may have to keep some of Drouin's salary to make the dollars work for the Kings. In that scenario, he could add, in addition, a 2023 draft pick as one of the Kings' two third-rounders." - Lyle Richardson

Montreal - Sean Walker + 2023 third round pick

To Los Angeles - Jonathan Drouin (retain salary)

Walker had 18 points (5 goals) in 47 games in 2020-2021. Since then, injuries have haunted him, as he played six games last season. In 14 games this year, he has two points.
