Patrick Roy, head coach and general manager of the Quebec Remparts, is not one to mince his words and that's part of his charm.
In an interview with Kevin Dubé of the Journal de Québec, Roy discussed his players who will be attending NHL camps.
Bolduc (St. Louis), Nause (Florida) and Gaucher (Anaheim), Theo Rochette and Mikaël Huchette (Philadelphia), James Malatesta (Columbus) and Vsevolod Komarov (Buffalo) will all get a chance to showcase their skills.
In the case of the first three, they already have an NHL contract in hand.
As for Bolduc, Roy says he'll get a real chance.
I think we're going to have one or two guys starting in the NHL this year," Roy said, before being asked if he was talking about Bolduc. I don't know, but as a result of my discussions, the Blues are going to give him a real shot.
"I also think Nause will get a real chance in Florida and Gaucher in Anaheim. They all have contracts and for sure teams are going to look at them right."
Big statement from the Remparts' chief pilot, when he'll have to deal with all this brouhaha early in the season.
