Last summer, goaltender Darcy Kuemper was traded to the Colorado Avalanche by the Arizona Coyotes.
In return, the Yotes received young defenseman Conor Timmins, a first round pick in the 2022 draft and a conditional third round pick in 2024.
This means the Coyotes will draft at No. 32 with the Avalanche's pick this year.
Also, regarding the conditional third round pick in 2024, if Colorado won the Stanley Cup in 2021-22 (which they did) and Kuemper played in at least 50% of the games in the playoffs (which they did), the Coyotes would receive that pick.
