The Philadelphia Flyers is close to locking up RFA goaltender Carter Hart according to Frank Seravalli of DailyFaceoff.
"Hearing #Flyers are closing in on a deal with goaltender Carter Hart. Sounds like a three-year pact." Seravalli said in a tweet on Monday morning. Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman went on to add that the deal is likely to be worth roughly $4 million per season.
Hart, 22, was drafted by Philadelphia in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. The Sherwood Park, Alberta native struggled during the 2020-21 season, and missed the final month of it with an MCL sprain. In 27 games, Hart had a record of 9-11-5 with a 3.67 G.A.A., an .877 save percentage and one shutout.
