BREAKING: Gary Bettman Implements a New Rule That Will Make Many Players Very Unhappy!
The NHLPA announced today that all players who entered the league after 2019 will be required to wear a helmet whenever they're on the ice. This includes warmups.
Players who were in the league prior to 2019 will be grandfathered in, and will be allowed to warmup without a helmet.
This rule feels rather asinine, especially since it only applies to a small portion of players. It could have probably merely been a suggestion by the players association.
Frankly, this feels like more of an abuse of power than something to truly protect players. We will see player reactions in the coming days.
