BREAKING: Grandfather of Maple Leafs Defenseman Killed in Mass Shooting
The entire country of Canada was shocked two days ago when it was announced that an elderly gunman killed six people in a condo building in Vaughan, Ontario.
As more news has come out, we have discovered that one of the victims was the grandfather of Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Victor Mete.
The Leafs put out this statement today, following the tragic news:
"The Toronto Maple Leafs are shocked and saddened by the tragic shooting that took place in Vaughan this past Sunday. Our hearts go out to Victor and his family, to all the families and friends of those affected, and to the local community."
We wish the best to the Mete family, and all others affected in this difficult time.
