Tonight the Laval Rockets played against the Rockford Icehogs at Rockford, instead of playing a normal hockey game, they were interrupted by a violent tornado.

The tornado was so bad that the National Weather Service issued a particular dangerous situation regarding the tornado.

"The National weather service has issues a PDS tornado warning meaning particular Dangerous situation as a confirmed large and extremely violent tornado is on the ground heading towards Sigourney, Keota , and Hedrick Iowa This is a life threatening situation take shelter now!"

Here is a map showing that Rockford, the region that the game was taking place in, was in the red zone, people were instructed to seek shelter immediately.

This caused the game to be temporarily postponed, everyone was sent down to the lockeroom area in case the tornado hit the building.

Anthony Marcotte explained that due to the emergency, the players were instructed to remain in the dressing rooms, while the fans gathered in the hallways.

Marcotte also captured a video showing the weather at Rockford, it shows thunder and high, dangerous winds.

The game was not cancelled, and the players returned to the ice, and will resume the game after a quick warm up period.
