BREAKING: Vladimir Tarasenko Has Been Traded

It's all but official, Vladimir Tarasenko has been traded to the New York Rangers.

Tarasenko is a pending unrestricted free agent, and is one of the best snipers in the league. Although he has been plagued by injury, he has a ceiling of a 40+ goal scorer. He will be a huge help to an already amazing Rangers offense.

The full details of the trade are a true blockbuster. St. Louis will send Tarasenko with salary retained, as well as depth blueliner Niko Mikkola to the Rangers in exchange for Samuel Blais, prospect Hunter Skinner a 1st round pick, and a 4th round pick.

Blais was formerly traded to the Rangers by the Blues in the Pavel Buchnevich deal.

TRADE

St Louis Blues have traded forward Vladimir Tarasenko and defensemen Niko Mikkola to the New York Rangers in exchange for forward Sammy Blais, prospect Hunter Skinner, a 2023 1st round pick an additional 4th round pick.

Rangers will also be retaining 40% of Tarasenko cap hit.
