Bad News For the Colorado Avalanche
The Colorado Avalanche got some bad news today.
After losing Nazem Kadri, the team brought in breakout forward Evan Rodrigues to fill the void. Now, Rodrigues is inured, and it will leave the team scrambling.
JT Compher and Alex Newhook were able to help fill the hole in the roster left by Kadri, but without Rodrigues to complement them, the Avs might have to start considering new options.
Bringing in another center was likely a deadline move they were going to make, but now they may be pressed to act sooner.
Captain Gabriel Landeskog, young blueliner Bowen Byram, and veteran Kurtis MacDermid are all equally injured.
Per coach Jared Bednar, Rodrigues will be sidelined for between two and four weeks.
Hopefully this won't prevent the Avalanche from continuing on their conquest for a second consecutive Stanley Cup.
