The National Hockey League has announced the finalists for the Calder Trophy, awarded to the NHL's top rookie.
The finalists are: Michael Bunting of the Toronto Maple Leafs (63 points), Trevor Zegras of the Anaheim Ducks (61 points) and Moritz Seider of the Detroit Red Wings (50 points).
Disappointment for Lucas Raymond. Even though he is the third highest scorer among rookies, he does not deserve to be a finalist.
Bad news also for Cole Caufield. Despite a brilliant end to the season, the small forward will not get the chance to win this award.
