According to Anthony SanFilippo, former New York Islanders head coach Barry Trotz has turned down a monster offer from the Philadelphia Flyers.
Trotz was reportedly offered over $7 million per year, which would have made him the highest paid head coach in NHL history.
For this reason, Philly has reportedly selected John Tortorella for the head coaching position. An announcement should be made in the next few hours in his case.
