In the last few minutes, Louis Jean of TVA Sports spoke with new Florida Panthers defenseman Ben Chiarot.
"In the last few weeks, it was clear I was going to be traded," Chiarot noted in an interview with Louis Jean during the second intermission of the Columbus Blue Jackets-Ottawa Senators game on TVA Sports. Not playing in the last game meant that something was coming soon. I got the call from the Panthers and I'm excited to join one of the best teams in the league."
"It's hard to leave your team and friends behind," Chiarot continued. Montreal was my home for three years. My family and I loved the city. Obviously, I'll always remember reaching the Stanley Cup Final. That's something I'll remember for the rest of my life."
