The Montreal Canadiens acquired centre Sean Monahan today from the Calgary Flames, along with a conditional first round pick in 2025.
The sixth overall pick in 2013 has scored more than 20 goals in seven of his nine NHL seasons.
When healthy, he could make some waves.
In fact, he discussed his health in a media scrum Thursday night.
"My goal is to be ready for training camp and start the season at the same time as everyone else" - Sean Monahan on his hip injury.
Monahan said he's on the ice four times a week right now and hopes to be ready for the start of the season, but he won't jeopardize all the work he's done to get healthy.
"I'm really excited to play high-level hockey again."
